City of Newcastle are continuing to provide services to the community following the new COVID-19 restrictions introduced by the NSW Government. In accordance with the latest Public Health Order, it is now a condition of entry at all City of Newcastle sites to wear a mask and follow the 4sqm distancing rules, as well as continuing to check in and sanitise hands.

School Holiday activities
All school holiday programming at Newcastle Libraries and Newcastle Art Gallery will be going ahead. Booking capacities have been reduced to comply with the 4sqm distancing rule, and all other COVID-safe measures continue including mandatory check-in for events, social distancing, mask wearing, and hand sanitising. Anyone who has been unwell is asked to stay home and cancel their booking.
School holiday activities at Newcastle Museum have been cancelled or postponed.
Reptile shows and feeding times at Blackbutt Reserve have been cancelled. You may still feed the emus or purchase an activity pack and roam the boardwalk in search of the animal plates.
