Flaunt your love of Aus Music at the Beach Hotel

  • 17 November 2022

Love Australian music? Well, The Beach Hotel is definitely the place to be this Friday.

That’s because the Merewether venue is hosting a special event where you can wear your love for Antipodean sounds on your sleeve,  while supporting the people that create it.

The Ausmusic T-shirt Day event will feature Sydney-based singer-songwriter Hollie Col whose infectious guitar-infused pop has been pricking up ears all over the country especially with her latest single Reruns.

Newy music will be well represented, too, with the brilliant Berlyn and Lachlan Edwards kicking off proceedings.

The annual celebration of all things Australian music raises urgently-needed funds for music workers in crisis across the country via charity Support Act.

Funds raised from the campaign will go towards helping Support Act to continue vital work supporting musicians, managers, crew and music workers through crisis relief, mental health and wellbeing programs and the Support Act Wellbeing Helpline - a 24/7 free phone counselling service.

Support Act CEO Clive Miller said that the annual event had fast become the charity’s central fundraising and awareness campaign of the year.

“Ausmusic T-Shirt Day has grown to become Support Act’s most important fundraising campaign of the year,” he said.

“We’re asking everyone who loves Australian music and the people who create it to support this year’s campaign by wearing their favourite Ausmusic T-Shirt, making a donation and/or setting up a team to fundraise.”

So, if you’re wild for The Wiggles, cuckoo for The Chats, or love local like Lachlan X Morris, East Coast Low, Saylor and The Flavor, or Slow Cinema, throw on the relevant threads and get the party started.

The Ausmusic T-shirt Day show is on at The Beach Hotel on Friday 18 November, kicking off at 7.30pm. Click here for more information.
