The July school holidays are literally just around the corner, and there’s certainly no shortage of great things happening right across the city to keep the little ones entertained.
Curious kids will be spoiled for choice at Newcastle Libraries with branches offering a stacked calendar of things to do - everything from fun with LEGO to web coding.

Sharing Culture Storytime

Uncle Amos Simon from Muurrung Marai will generously share Awabakal and Gathung language and culture through song, dance, puppets, guitar and yadaki (didgeridoo).
This is the first in a regular monthly interactive and fun Sharing Culture Storytime at Wallsend Library.

NAIDOC Week Storytime and Wayapa Wuurrk Family Practice Introduction

Thursday 6 July
Join Indigenous health practitioner Sarah Corrigan from Rainbow Crow Cultural Collective for a special NAIDOC Week Storytime and an introduction to the Wayapa program for families.
Wayapa is an earth connection practice that is based on ancient Indigenous wisdom, focusing on taking care of the Earth as the starting point for creating Earth Mind Body Spirit well-being. Mindfulness and Indigenous inspired movements allow for a healing space through yarning, sharing and connection.

Mario Kart 8 Tournament
