Yes, that’s right it’s another bumper month of activities, events, festivals and more, for all tastes - from revheads to revellers, music fans to comedy connoisseurs Newcastle definitely has you covered for fun this month.

Newcastle Supercars Track
The 2023 Supercars Championship hits the streets of Newcastle, launching the season with the next generation of Supercars making their much-anticipated debut! It’s Camaro vs Mustang on track for the first time, marking the start of a new era for the sport.
Nestled between the city and the surf, the Newcastle 500 event promises to be a sporting spectacle like no other! From 10 - 12 March, the streets and beaches will come alive with three days of full throttle entertainment.

Newcastle Fringe Festival is back for 2023 with two huge weekends of unexpected entertainment and creative performances!
Showcasing over 50 amazing local and international artists, with 120 performances we've got everything from burlesque to flamenco dancers, comedy and music to kids theatre shows, the jam-packed program has just been released and now is the perfect time to secure your tickets to the biggest festival yet!
Emma Memma’s Whirly Tour

In this colourful show for all ages, families will be treated to Emma Memma classics such as Twirly Tuesday, Wombat Wednesday, and I Love You, as well as new favourites Balancing Ballet, Thank You and See Me Jump that are all featured on Emma Memma’s popular YouTube channel.
Empowering the next generation through movement, creativity, inclusiveness and friendship, Emma Memma with her love of dance, sign language and music, brings visual communication to the forefront of the children’s media space. Families are also encouraged to dress in Emma Memma and Elvin Melvin’s favourite colours - orange, pink and green!

The Sydney Junction Hotel is hosting a night of femme-forward frivolity featuring the comedic stylings of some of Australia’s funniest women - Annie Boyle, Eddy Rockerfeller, Bec Charlwood, Frankie Fierce, Naomi Mourra and Loz Budden, that is sure to have you rolling in the aisles.
And the best part is that 50 per cent of all profits will be donated to Jenny’s Place - a non-profit organisation that helps women in crisis.

Just scraping in for March, this year’s Newcastle Writers’ Festival promises to be one of the biggest and best yet.
Literary aficionados will be treated to a stacked program of 75 events featuring 120 writers including Grace Tame, Amy Thunig, Jane Harper, Indira Naidoo, Richard Fidler, Tim Baker, Norman Swan, and Craig Silvey.
