Do you love quality, homegrown live entertainment?
If you’re nodding your head enthusiastically, we suggest you clear some space in your calendar over the next few weeks. Locally Made & Played is hitting up 11 popular watering holes across the city and it’s not to be missed!
Locally Made & Played is brought to you by City of Newcastle’s Live music grant funding which aims to promote local grassroots artists and provide a live and unique offering for venues.
The initiative is a win win - not only does it boost the live music scene in Newcastle and support local artists, it also supports our local hospitality industry.
Oh and did we mention that it also means a more dynamic Newcastle for you? A vibrant local live music scene is vital to ensuring Newcastle continues to offer a bustling arts and culture scene, and a lively, diverse and safe night-time economy.
Venues taking part in Locally Made & Played include The Rogue Scholar, Beach Burrito Co, Wickham Park Hotel, The Duke of Wellington, The Mark Hotel, The Beaches Hotel, The Kent Hotel, Racecourse Hotel Wallsend, The Exchange Hotel, Babylon, and The Base.
Whether you’re keen to start your weekend on the dance floor, or unwind on a Sunday afternoon to some laid-back tunes, the line-up has something to suit all musical tastes.
