That’s because there is a wide and eclectic variety of markets happening right across Newcastle in the lead-up to the big day, meaning you can escape the crowds, shop local, and fill that tote bag with some truly unique gifts for friends and family.

Twilight Markets on the Green
Mayfield Bowling Club – Thursday 1 December
4.30pm to 9pm
Mayfield Bowling Club, in partnership with Nash and Dash will host a crackerjack night of fun, entertainment and shopping that is sure to get you in the festive spirit.
The lawns will be transformed into rows of artisan market stalls featuring an array of local small businesses and brands, live music and kids’ entertainment.
Nash and Dash will also host a daytime market at the club on Saturday 17 December from 9am to 2pm.
Olive Tree Christmas Markets

The ever-popular Olive Tree Market Christmas series is an absolute must for any Novocastrian festive shopper.
The Olive Tree Christmas Market presents the perfect opportunity to choose small- batch, and one off gifts, straight from the hands of the creator. Give meaningful gifts to the special people in your life, that have been thoughtfully created, and where you will be able to share the maker's story of how and where their goods were crafted.
There will be many 'special feature creatives' who only bring their creations to Newcastle once a year; they specifically create beautiful new work for The Olive Tree Christmas Market.

Christmas in Paris Market

More than 60 stalls boasting a wide range of French food and artisans, will be on offer, allowing you to satisfy those cravings for croque-monsieur, baguettes, croissants and more as well as picking up a unique gift for the Epicurean in your life.
Redhead Twilight Christmas Market

Made & Found Markets is a beachside market run by the passionate team behind Homegrown Markets, Made & Found is where handmade meets pre-loved, and where you’ll find all your favourite things in one place!
Plenty of stalls sell pre-loved and vintage clothing and accessories, as well as upcycled goods like hand-painted denim, tie-dyed clothes and more. And you’ll find local handmade magic from your favourite stallholders, selling homewares, ceramics, skincare, the works!
