This ambitious exhibition is about providing a space for the abundance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander creatives with a connection to Newcastle and the Hunter Region.
Showcasing their work on what can feel like an unattainable platform - this is a chance to leave a first (and hopefully lasting) impression.
First also offers insight into the diverse and contemporary practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander creatives.
Mayfield Day

After a hugely popular inaugural hit-out in 2022, the Mayfield community are once again gearing up to shine a light on what makes the suburb so vibrant, eclectic and unique.
Webb Park will be filled with a huge array of stalls from local businesses, local musicians, interactive entertainment, kids activities and much more.

Sleepout for Soul

Bolton St Carpark
Soul Hub Newcastle is encouraging the community to come together and raise funds to support the homeless and vulnerable in our community.
This year, organisers are hoping to host more than 500 sleepers to Sleepout for Soul with us at the Bolton St Carpark and raise a much-needed $200,000 for Soul Hub.
Let’s help make the goal a reality and support such a worthy cause.
Festival of Sweets and Treats

The Station Newcastle
Confectionery connoisseurs will be well and truly hitting those sugar highs this month when this sweet festival rolls into The Station.
Treat your taste buds, satisfy your sweet tooth and feast your way through mouth-watering cakes, chocolates, pastries, lollies and more.
There’ll be plenty more sweet treats on offer including workshops, live music and loads of activities for the kids.
Newcastle Comedy Festival Gala

Newcastle’s biggest month of comedy will, again, kick off in grand style with an all killer, no filler lineup of some of the finest rib-ticklers in the business.
The jam-packed two hour show will feature non-stop hilarity from Tommy Little, Michael Hing, Tom Cashman, Chris Ryan, Nick Cody, Julia Wilson, Nick Capper, Andrew Hansen, Ivan Aristeguieta, Paige Hally and ow very own drag doyenne Timberlina.
