Join the team at the Nags Head Hotel for a Farmers Wife Gin Event on Sunday. Kylie and her team will be coming in for a 3-course luncheon prepared by Nags Head Chef Scott Sneyd. Each course will be perfectly matched with three Farmers Wife cocktails showcasing the seasonal Winter Gin alongside the classic Autumn Dry Gin. Tickets are $100 per head and will sell fast!
The Very Popular Theatre Company is back at The Playhouse, Civic Theatre, with Things I Know To Be True. The Price family aren’t from the top end of town, but they aren't battlers either. Fran and Bob have brought up four children and have managed to keep their sense of humour. It should be time to stop and smell Bob’s precious roses. But just when things should be slowing down, the complicated lives of all four Price siblings come crashing through the brick veneer walls.
With jaw-dropping family revelations, love pangs, and the sweet pain of finding out the truth, Things I Know To Be True is a beautifully crafted play from the ever-rewarding mind of Andrew Bovell (Lantana, When the Rain Stops Falling, The Secret River), and is directed by one of our region's greatest director's, Daniel Stoddart.
If you're up for some exploring, hop aboard Nova Cruises and experience Newcastle from the water. Join the Whale Watching Cruise which runs every Saturday and Sunday, an unforgettable two-and-a-half-hour ocean voyage where you'll witness the amazing migration of over 35,000 Humpback whales passing Newcastle's scenic coastline.
If food is more your thing, join the Harbour Dinner Cruise departing every Saturday night, or the Harbour Lunch Cruise running on Sundays. Take in the sights of the vibrant and ever-changing foreshore of Newcastle Harbour, and the activity within our working shipping port, while indulging in a delicious buffet meal accompanied by live entertainment.
