From Friday 25 to Sunday 27 August, the 34th Newcastle Jazz Festival will bring music lovers from around Australia and beyond to the iconic Newcastle City Hall. Come and see fifty bands comprising more than two hundred musicians performing more than 60 hours of music across four stages during the weekend.
All day, single session and weekend passes available.
This year’s line-up is one of the most diverse and exciting yet, with an eclectic program encompassing everything from traditional New Orleans jazz, swing bands, jazz orchestras, funk, and blues to solo jazz piano through to contemporary, Gypsy and French jazz. There’s something for every music lover across the weekend.
There will be food & drinks available on site and there are various cafes and restaurants just a short walk from City Hall. The Newcastle light rail can quickly transport patrons from nearby hotels and parking areas to Newcastle City Hall (Civic Light Rail stop is closest to venue).
