Australian National Band Championships

The 2023 Australian National Band Championships is back after a 4 year Covid break. The Nationals features the Best Brass and Wind bands from all across Australia and featuring the world premier of over 10 new Australian compositions.

The Australian National Band Championships presents 3 days of the very best Australian community brass and wind bands performing at their absolute peak competing for the title of Australian National Champion.

This event will be held over three venues - Civic Theatre, Newcastle City Hall and Harold Lobb Concert Hall.

Tickets are available for the day passes until 30 mins before the night ends.

*This is an all ages event. All patrons must hold a valid ticket for entry regardless of age.

TICKETS

Ticket holders with pre-purchased Season and Day passes are to visit the event information desk located in Civic Theatre foyer prior to event entry. Present your tickets at the information desk to collect your wrist bands, providing access to the range of events. Your tickets can be found on email from Civic Theatre Ticket Office, attached to a booking confirmation sent
from ticketoffice@civictheatrenewcastle.com.au. 

The event information desk is open:
Friday 7 April: 8.30 am - 8 pm
Saturday 8 April: 8.00 am - 8 pm
Sunday 9 April: 8.30 am - 7 pm

Additional tickets may be purchased on the day from the Civic Theatre Ticket Office, adjacent to the Civic Theatre Cafe. The Ticket Office will be open at the same times as the event information desk (above).

DINING & DRINKS
 

The onsite café and bars are the perfect meeting place before a show.

Civic Theatre Cafe will open Friday through to Sunday from 8 am - 5 pm.

Civic Theatre Bars will open from midday til late.

City Hall Banquet Room will be open from 9 am til late, for bar service with food available.
