Two exciting interactive exhibitions from University of Newcastle scientists and artists exploring the mysterious workings of the human brain and the amazing biodiversity of our natural world. The exhibitions have hands on interactives and exciting technology. These exhibitions celebrate Science Week 2022 and are only on for two weeks.

BRAIN

The Brain exhibition provides an opportunity to explore the fascinating brain. How do we make sense of the world around us? What happens to how our brain works when it is under the influence of drugs? What happens when our brain is under attack of disease? How do we understand emotions in others? How does one part of the brain talk to another part? Just some of what you can learn through fun interactives at the Brain exhibition. Can you solve our brain puzzles? Finally, before you leave you can get a selfie with our giant inflatable BRAIN.

BIOMES

The Biomes exhibition takes us on an exploration of the wonderful and fascinating world that we live in. It invites you to explore the wonders of our backyard, the villains and victims in our Biome and the role that we play in protecting it. Come compete with your friends and family in the recycling game, learn what it is like to live a day in the life of an ecologist. Have you seen any of our Missing wildlife? And while you are exploring, get a selfie and make a pledge about what you can do differently to help support this magical world we live in.

Beginner Natural History Illustration Workshop
