Come and see the footpaths of Newcastle transformed into concrete canvases with a collection of mind-bending artworks during Chalk the Walk.
The theme for this year's event is All Creatures Great and Small and visitors are encouraged to explore the art trail taking in the different 3D artworks from our talented artists, while having a bit of fun and becoming part of the art.
This year we are also inviting local artists to come out of their studios and create their own chalk artworks live on the streets of Newcastle.
Chalk the Walk is fun for all ages and is an all-accessibility event.

Chalk the Walk Schedule:
- Introduction to 3D Art Workshop, Kuwami Place, 930am - 3pm, 18th September 2023.
- Watch the Artists create Chalk Art Trail through Newcastle CBD and Darby St, 8am - 5pm, 18 - 23rd September 2023.
- Explore the completed Chalk Art Trail at your own time and pace between September 23 and October 1, 2023
- Enter the Local Artist Competition Wheeler Place, 9am - 4pm, 23rd September 2023
