Clean Up Australia Day 2024

Imagine the difference we could make to our environment by uniting on one day to tackle litter?

You can make a real impact this Sunday 3 March on Clean Up Australia Day - the nation's largest community litter clean-up of the year!

Join over 700,000 like-minded volunteers across the country to help banish plastics, coffee cups, cigarette butts, and other unsightly litter from our parks, streets, and waterways.

Getting involved is easy. There's two ways you can help out:

1. Register a Clean Up site

Pick a local area in need of a tidy and create a Clean Up online.

2. Join a Clean Up

Want to get involved but don't want to organise your own Clean Up? No problem, you can join an existing Clean Up here. There are plenty of Clean Ups across the Newcastle area already registered. 

On the day wear sturdy, enclosed shoes and remember to be sun smart (hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen). Bring a (reusable) bottle of water and, if you're able to, your own pair of gloves.
