Bold and unapologetic. CLUB SURAT will redefine City Hall's Banquet Room into a dance hall of hip-hop and Afro-jazz. Celebrate the opening of ATONG ATEM with a night cap on the dancefloor with powerful performers GLO and POOKIE, who draw on their roots as East African women and are taking the music industry by storm in the process. CLUB SURAT is a dynamic late night after party not to be missed.
ARTISTS & COLLABORATORS
GLO is a Sydney based Neo Soul/ Alternative R&B singer-songwriter and a movement artist. Her rising career has seen her share the stage with Solange Knowles at the Opera House and perform as a guest vocalist with duo MYSTICS at Splendour in the Grass. In 2021, GLO was nominated for two FBI Awards (Next Big Thing & Best Video). This year she will be supporting Desire Marea for VIVID Sydney at Carriage Works.
POOKIE is a Perth based producer, songwriter, composer, DJ, and MC paving the way for independent artists in Australia with her unapologetic nature. She marches to her own beat through the music industry, and was recently announced to play SXSW Sydney and Big Sound in Brisbane.
