Do you think the young people in your life want a say about the future of their city?
A chance to talk directly to the decision makers of Newcastle, the Future Innovators Summit (FIS) is not just a think-tank but a ‘do-tank’ for social innovation. This year a transdisciplinary studio Art Thinking is bringing together young minds between the ages 4 to 19 years, from all over the Hunter, to be part of a round-table discussion program. They will be guided by globally recognised mentors who are artists, technologists, scientists and innovation experts, who will assist with the development of their ideas and questions for humankind and creating our future. The participants will be able to pick from one of four topics to focus on over the four days, Future Community, Future Human(ity), Future Learning and Future City. These topics have been chosen with the city of Newcastle in mind, the future innovators will have the opportunity on the last day to present their creative questions to local-decision makers, making them a part of the community of changemakers for a better Newcastle.
