Always on the 5th day of the 5th month of the lunar calendar, the Dragon Boat Festival or Duanwu (meaning “Double Fifth Festival”) will fall on the 3rd of June this year. The origin of Duanwu still remains a mystery and is open to debate. However, its over 2000-year history has added to the cultural richness beyond just dragon boat racing and culinary treats.
The celebration these days is more about family ties and community engagement to establish a harmonious relationship between humanity and nature for a better future!
