The 15th Newcastle French Film Festival organised by Alliance Francaise de Newcastle is bringing a line-up of six recently released French hit comedies to Event Cinemas Kotara over the weekend of 12-14th. The fun begins on Friday night with the screening of a madcap family drama with The Innocent, the winner of two 2023 Cesar awards. On Saturday afternoon, a family favourite, Belle and Sebastien: Next Generation lives up to the magnificence of earlier productions followed by A Ticket to Greece which is bound to be a crowd pleaser, starring popular actress Laure Calmy. Saturday night's comedy Country Cabaret tells of a farmer who finds an innovative way to rejuvenate his failing business. The festival coninues with more laughs on Sunday afternoon with The Nannies as a group of Parisian nannies fight for their rights and concludes with Tenor which brings together the unlikely combination of Opera and Rap.
