Over 2 days and 3 nights we are so excited to welcome over 75 performances celebrating the world's happiest musical instrument.

Join Little Quirks, Tyrone & Lesley, The Nukes and the Ukestral Voices for our 2022 Newkulele Festival Opening Concert on Friday night.

On Saturday and Sunday from 9.30am there will be a full progam of free performances in City Hall - visit the Mulubinba Room, Hunter Room and the Concert Hall. Wander in and enjoy the atmosphere that our amazing local performers & guests bring to the stage.

We also encoarage Festival attendees to try out a Workshop which will be held in the Newcastle Room in City Hall, or next door in the Playhouse theatre. There are 15 workshops to choose from including song-writing, bass, finger-picking to strumming to de-mystifying those traditionally horrible chords! Please note Workshops sell out quickly so book now.

On Saturday night, we will be showcasing performers from Newcastle and around Australia. Join Ukulele Death Squad, Thin White Ukes, Jack n Jel n Mac n Wal, and a the local Ukastle Ukestra for an energetic evening of ukulele playing, singing and no doubt some dancing too!

The Festival finale on Sunday afternoon is the super popular One Song Sing from 3.30pm - arranged, conducted and facilitated by Mark Jackson & Jane Jelbert. Learn one song in three part harmony in one hour then perform it in the beautiful Concert Hall (Free event)
