When

02 March 2024 09:30 am

We are back with two fabulous and free events in Wallsend!

Wallsend Op Shop Trail Walking Tour

Mardi Lee from Renewy Living will lead you on a journey through Wallsend's five unique Op Shops, offering insights into their history and providing personalised shopping tips along the way! Plus, you'll have the opportunity to meet the dedicated volunteers of the Wallsend Op Shop Trail. Secure your free tickets here.

Repair Cafe

Let Upcycle Newcastle and Purple Card Project help you repair your clothing items for free! And, if you don't have something that needs repairing, come along anyway and find an item on the Rescue Rack. This rack features clothing that was destined for landfill or export and has been put together as part of the Community Textile Recovery Initiative.

When: Saturday, 2nd March 2024

Where: 145 Nelson Street, Wallsend

Time: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm (Repair Café); 10:00 am – 11:30 am (Walking Tour)

The Wallsend Op Shop Trail is supported by Special Business Rate funding from the City of Newcastle. This project aims to bring life back into Wallsend by establishing the Wallsend Op Shop Trail as a key tourist destination while highlighting the importance of Op Shops in our community. The Community Textile Recovery Initiative is supported by the City of Newcastle Community Support Grant.
