SailFest returns in 2024, and this year hosts the Australian Yacht Championships! Yachts from around Australia will travel and participate in the highly competitive IRC division, including the largest fleet of TP52s ever assembled in Australia!
This year, SailFest will see three days of racing starting on Friday 5th with a series offshore windward-leeward races.
On Saturday, the Fort Scratchley cannon will sound for the race start from the harbour. The thunderous boom will be the race start signal for our first fleet to race on Saturday.
On Sunday, the fleets head back offshore for a final windward-leeward series.
FREE Kids Try Sailing (ages 6-12) will be available on Saturday and Sunday from Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club, 9:00am – 11:00am.
