Summer Swap Clothes Swap

Level up your wardrobe at the Summer Swap, where you can exchange up to 10 gently used clothing items, shoes, or accessories that you no longer wear but are still in good condition.

Overview of the day:

3pm - 3.30pm : Check-in

• Meet our volunteers at the check-in counter to exchange up to 10 items for the equivalent number of tokens (these will be used later to go “shopping”!)
• While everyone checks-in and the items are being sorted and hung, you can enjoy some light refreshments, shop through our Rescue Rack of clothes for free, or bring an item for repair to the Upcycle Newcastle Repair Cafe.

4:00 pm : Swapping

• Reconvene to first get an overview of how the swapping event works, and hear from some local sustainability, fashion, and textiles experts.
• Let the swapping will begin!
• When you have made your selection, meet our volunteers at the check-out counter to exchange your tokens for your new items of clothing!
