As part of Stories of Light, WH!P COLLECTIVE are running a series of workshops which engage with storytelling, community building, photography and the city of Newcastle itself.
Ever wanted to shine a light on something or someone special in your city? This is a fun way to explore to some simple night photography techniques with local photographer Edwina Richards.
Richards. Make one portrait and one landscape photo together, using a technique known as 'light painting. Participants with camera knowledge are encouraged to bring their own camera, tripod and fellow human to photograph. Sparklers, wands and other weird sources of light encouraged. There will be two camera stations provided for beginners or for those without a camera. All ages (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult) and all skill levels encouraged. Participants are invited to share a debrief & dinner after the event.
