Drawing is a great way to relax and tap into your creativity. In this workshop you will learn the art of drawing orchids.
Lynda McPherson- author, botanical illustrator, and volunteer at the Hunter Region Botanic Garden will lead this workshop. Lynda will share her passion for drawing orchids. and suggestions on where to find native orchids in the Hunter.
You will learn simple step-by-step instructions on how to start with basic lines and shapes to create your very own native Australian Orchid illustration.
Clare Presser, Digital Activation specialist and orchid enthusiast will share her passion for orchids and discuss Newcastle Libraries latest podcast on native orchids.
There will be an opportunity at the end of this session to meet other orchid lovers and chat about your favourite orchid.
