Cinematographer Martyn Taylor chronicles renowned Newcastle Artist Trevor Dickinson as he transforms a beachside pedestrian tunnel into the AMAZING MEREWETHER AQUARIUM, a beautiful 30 metre mural featuring Merewether icons reimagined, in Dickinson’s trademark style, as Aquarium ornaments.
The film is a visual feast combining stunning time lapse sequences and fly on the wall documentary with a cool rock and roll soundtrack.
It lovingly captures the artists at work bringing the mural to life, against the backdrop of Merewether’s stunning natural beauty.
The film also features special guest appearances from well-known locals including Artists Michael Bell and John Earle, along with surfing great Mark Richards, who each make their own contribution to the mural.
