Built In Kind Tool Making Workshops

Built in Kind is co-hosting a series of tool-making workshops with visiting Melbourne based tool-maker Golden Elm Woodcraft. 

Learn to work with steel, timber and leather in a series of short blade-making courses offered over 4 days in Mayfield East, Newcastle, NSW.

Three workshops offered:

• Kitchen Knife Making: two day course to make your own kitchen knife with custom timber handle

-Thursday 4 & Friday 5 April 2024, 8am-3pm

- $650 per person

• Steel up-cycling + Utility Knife + Sheath: two-evening course to make your own utility knife from up-cycled steel with custom stitched leather sheath

- Thursday 4 & Friday 5 April 2024, 4-8pm

- $450 per person

• Greenwood Tool Making: two day course to forge from scratch all of the tools you require to start your own green-wood spoons, bowls and other carving projects

- Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 April 2024

- $650 per person
