On the magical art of the Scott Sisters

University of Newcastle archivist and chair of Hunter Living Histories, Gionni Di Gravio, highlights the legacy of Helena and Harriet Scott. The Scott sisters were naturalists, whose intricate drawings of moths and butterflies were documented in the 1860s while living on Ash Island, in the Hunter River.

Bookings and payment required prior to event.

On the first Wednesday of the month, from February to November, enjoy morning tea and hear from artists, curators, designers and specialists in the visual arts.

Please note: Due to the Newcastle Art Gallery expansion project, this event will be held in the Hunter Room at Newcastle City Hall.
