The annual Combined Schools ANZAC Service commemorative event will in 2023 tell the stories of the families of those who have served sacrificed: WE WHO REMEMBER.
The two service events of one hour's duration combine a narrative of the chosen theme and the formal elements of ANZAC commemoration.
The event is developed by year 11 students from the region's schools for an audience of students and other guests. The event combines elements of narration, drama and music to create a compelling and profound educational experience that celebrates the regions military heritage.
The event has been staged since 1954 and is nationally recognised for its unique and powerful commemoration.
It is supported by our major sponsor, the City of Newcastle. our major corporate sponsor, the Newcastle Permanent Building Society, the Catholic Schools Office and the Merewether Hamilton Adamstown sub branch of the RSL. It is also supported and enabled by our partner schools from the three sectors of education.
