Hockey NSW, with the support of the City of Newcastle, will be bringing it's award-winning Regional Challenge to Newcastle in 2022. The largest single event in Hockey NSW’s calendar, over 2000 players, officials and supporters will descend upon Newcastle over three days, generating an economic impact for the area exceeding $2 million.
It will be hosted by Newcastle Men’s and Newcastle Districts Women’s Hockey Associations at the newly renovated Newcastle International Hockey Centre in Broadmeadow, running from Friday 25th February - Sunday 27th February.
The conclusion of our Centre of Development Program, the City of Newcastle Regional Challenge, draws players from all regions together for a weekend of competition, development and fun. It's a non-competitive tournament focused on skills, friendship and citizenship.
