Kintsugi for Clothing - Mending with Gold Thread

Discover the art of repairing your own clothing through hand sewing techniques rather than letting your favourite wardrobe items go to waste!

Celebrating 20 years of Slow Fashion, High Tea with Mrs Woo are Newcastle-based designers that craft clothing and accessories for modern thoughtful living. They developed Kintsugi for Clothing practice to cherish and extend the life of clothing by visible mending with gold thread.

BRING: A few garments with small holes (max 20c coin size). Learn mending with needle and gold thread (supplied).

COST: Free!

This workshop is beginner friendly.

Visit the Repair Cafe before the workshop starts to learn how to repair textiles, tools, and small furniture. The Repair Cafe will be open from 9.30am - 12pm at Wallsend Library.
