National Ride2School Day is a day to celebrate, encourage and facilitate students to ride, scoot, skate or walk to school.
This year we are encouraging the community to MAKE SPACE for Ride to School Day by:
- Taking extra care of the children that are riding to school, giving them plenty of space on the roads and paths – for some students, it may be the first time they have ever ridden to school.
- Showing your support by making simple outer space-themed creations such as rockets, planets, stars, aliens and astronauts to decorate the front of your home (please stay in your property boundary).
These are simple things that we can do which can make the ride to school safe and fun for children of all ages. If enough people get involved, your street might feel like an interstellar adventure!
