Bring your much-loved broken items back to life at the Newcastle Libraries Repair Cafe!
A repair cafe is a place where skilled repairers meet non-repairers to teach them skills to fix things. Featured repair skills will include small furniture, small hand tools and clothing.
Upcycling and tool skills demonstrations will also be on offer from 11am-12pm:
- How to darn socks and jumpers with Upcycle Newcastle
- Chair repair with Built in Kind and A Thinking Hand
This event will also include a plant/seed swap supported by Newcastle Seed Library volunteers. You are welcome to bring along plants and packets of seeds to swap. Check out the Newcastle Seed Library outlet inside Lambton Library. Community seed donations always welcome.
