The Watagan Wanderers are an active bushwalking club based in the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie area, exploring the environment of Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the adjacent Watagan Mountains and further afield.
Each Wednesday and each Saturday our club conducts two bushwalks/hikes, one easier (Grade 2 or 3) and one more challenging (Grade 5) for members to join. We also are active in kayaking, abseiling, canyoning, multiday pack walks, car camps, bike riding, social activities and snow activities.
We welcome prospective, new members who are invited to join us for up to three walks before needing to join the club.
