Bring the children along for an engaging visit to the Social Fabric Exhibition and make an Afghan ‘dress-flower’ craft!

Participants will meet an Afghan-Australian artisan and learn about the making and use of ‘dress-flowers’ - colourful decorative hand-embellished patches that are added to traditional festive Afghan dresses.

We will go on a ‘dress-flower’ hunt among the dresses in the Lovett Gallery and make a dress-flower-inspired craft.

Ages: 5-12 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult assistant.

Bookings essential (tickets only required for children)

Spaces are limited so please cancel if you can no longer attend.

If you have any access or inclusion needs, please email library@ncc.nsw.gov.au
