In this workshop we will work together to realise a performance presentation of a story you have been developing. You will have the opportunity to present your piece, receive feedback, suggestions and direction, and time to rehearse it further. Your work can be presented as a group, as a pair, or as a solo performance. Performers of all levels of experience are welcome to attend.

This is the third and final workshop in a series of interconnected storytelling workshops. Come to one or come to all three! Separate bookings required for each workshop.

For this workshop you will need to bring:

  • A story that you have been working on that you can perform. This could be a script, a poem, an anecdote, a speech or even a joke. You will get more from this workshop if you have learnt the text so you don’t need to read it
  • Comfortable clothes – something you can move in, but could also be something that adds to the story
  • Props if you require them
  • A pen and note book or digital equivalent
  • A water bottle
  • Playfulness and a willingness to have some serious fun

Ages 18+

All workshop participants will be invited to a Work in Progress Showcase on 22 April at Newcastle City Library (a private event for participants and friends).
