WORLD PRIDE WORKSHOP - Let’s Celebrate LGBTQIA+ Diversity!

In celebration of World Pride Sydney (17 February 2023 - 5 March 2023), The Prick Store are holding our very own Pride Workshop, celebrating LGBTQIA+ Diversity, Inclusion, Acceptance and RESPECT!

This Pride Workshop is absolutely PERFECT for EVERYONE! Whether you are a long-standing member of the LGBTQIA+ community, newly out, exploring, or here to support a loved one, we welcome you!

Paint Your Own Pride Planter and Pick a Plant!

Spend an afternoon in an inclusive and welcoming space, creating your very own personalised planter, and when you're finished, pick out your very own Cacti or Succulent to finish your creation! Not only will you have a handmade masterpiece, but we also hope you walk away with a few new friends.

Your host, Claire(she/her), is the owner of The Prick Store, and will be running this workshop. Claire is 27 years old, a Mum (both human and fur-Mum) and is a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Pip (they/she) will be assisting Claire in this Workshop. Pip is non-binary queer, parent to 3 cats and aspiring plant parent.

The Prick Store is a proud member of ACON's Welcome Here Project, meaning we:

  • We WELCOME & include LGBTQ+ people.

  • We STAND UP for LGBTQIA+ inclusion. We want EVERYONE to feel welcomed and accepted each and every time they visit our store.

  • We CREATE positive change in our local community - we ALL have the power and responsibility to encourage positive social changes!

  • We CELEBRATE LGBTQIA+ diversity - we embrace and value diversity and are committed to celebrating diverse communities.

This Workshop is also a perfect opportunity for parents of members of the community to support their children in their journey - whether you attend in support of your child, or book your own ticket to paint your own Planter Pot.
